President Dong Qi was invited to visit Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal University) in Germany and signed a cooperation agreement with President Ms. Anne Lequy on April 8, 2019. The cooperation agreement covers a full range of teacher and student exchanges and lays the foundation for the cooperation between the two parties to establish a common curriculum. According to the agreement, Tongji Zhejiang College will send the first batch of students to this university for exchange and study this fall.

Professor Ding Yongjian, who was the Vice President of Teaching and International Affairs at the university, and President of German Tongji Alumni Association, as well as Ms. Yulia Krum from its International Affairs Office, attended the meeting.

?It is known that Magdeburg is the capital of the Saxony-Anhalt state in central Germany of a 1200-year-old imperial bishop city, and only one hour's drive from the capital Berlin. The Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1991. Three colleges are located at the Magdeburg campus and two colleges are located at the Stendal campus. There are about 50 majors offered to students. The university has a body of about 130 professors and 6,000 students (4,000 in the Magdeburg campus and 2,000 in the Siddar Campus). Since the winter semester of year 2005, the university has converted the previous FH-Diplom degree into bachelor's and master's degree according to the EU's Bologna process. The general Bachelor’s course lasts 6 to 7 semesters and the Master's course is 3 to 4 semesters.
